In our classroom we participate in a lot of hands-on activities. We start the year learning and reviewing our alphabet and numbers. After a month into school we begin working on our site words and reading stories. We incorporate the Bible stories and concepts into our lessons. We start with creation in religion and go through the Paul and Timothy in the new testament. We currently are using the Saxon math series which begins with learning the numbers and goes through the concepts of shapes and adding and subtracting. In Social Studies we use the Studies Weekly and we talk all about who we are and how we fit into the community. In science we study earth science, physical science and life science.
