The English Language Arts program which includes phonics, reading, spelling, writing and grammar are supported by the best educational researched materials available.  Language Foundations is a structured multisensory teaching of phonemic awareness and the introduction of the forty-four sounds and ninety-eight spelling of the English language. Taught in a sequential, multisensory, repetitive, spiraling approach, lessons from this program are based on the well-documented and researched program of the Orton-Gillingham-Childs concepts and the Alphabetic Phonics Program.

The Bob Jones reading text will incorporate stories that include realistic fiction, historical fiction, poetry, fables, folktales, biographies, and Bible stories as well. 

The Bob Jones spelling text will present the weekly word list according to a specific word theme or a phonics-based spelling pattern. These biblical themes include Jesus died for sinners, God is always with us, and/or God’s word should always guide us.
