Teddy Boettcher
Ted is a native Nebraskan, who came to Kansas by way of Illinois.  He was born in Spencer, Nebraska, son of a farmer.  From there he moved to Illinois and was teacher at a Lutheran elementary school in Red Bud.  Desiring to be closer to his family, he moved to Kansas, where he taught in the Wichita Public School for 20 years.  After his retirement from there, he came to Faith Lutheran School in Derby.
Ted received his teaching degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.  While living in southern Illinois, he got his master’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  He enjoys learning new things, especially technology, that can be used in the classroom.

His favorite activity is spending time with his wife and family.  One daughter lives In Lawrence, Kansas, where she is a director of children’s education at a church.  The other daughter is now living in Springfield, Missouri.  She is doing a residency in pharmacy there for one year.  When there is time left over, he enjoys being in nature, especially birding.  Gardens and flowers are also a part of that love for God’s nature.
His other love is music, and he enjoys making music whenever the chance is given.  He plays the organ for Faith Lutheran almost every Sunday.  He directs the Bell Choir, and plays keyboard for the Adult Choir.   He also plans other special musical events for the church.
